The Journaling Course, Spring 2026

I am so excited to relaunch the Journaling Course this January! I will offer it semesterly through New Heights Church Women’s Ministry in Fayetteville for the foreseeable future. If you live in NWA, I’d love for you to join me! Maybe someday I will post part or all of it here as well. Stay tuned. -Heather

WEEK 1: Let God Interrupt Your Bible Study

Listen to the Holy Spirit as you read Scripture with your journal.

WEEK 2: Make Personal Bible Study More Personal

Let God encourage you through Scripture while deepening understanding with a concordance.

WEEK 3: Make Personal Bible Study Even More Personal

Let God correct you through Scripture while broadening understanding with multiple translations.

WEEK 4: “Remember How He Told You”

Ask God to remind you of promises in Scripture and your certitudes.

WEEK 5: Write Letters with God

Let God hold your emotions through expressive prayer writing.

WEEK 6: Journal like the Psalmist

Engage your imagination through poetic prayer writing. 

WEEK 7: Mind Your Body and Spirit

Make stillness a mainstay and listen for God’s voice in a week without journaling. 

WEEK 8: Enter the Surrender Cycle

Trust God to release burdens and receive blessings for inner healing.

WEEK 9: Search the Corridors of Your Mind

Examine yourself with God and discern truth from lies.

WEEK 10: Sort Your Backpack

Dream and plan with the Lord.

WEEK 11: Cultivate Habits for the Long haul

Name your simple joys, attune to your body, and find your daily and annual rhythm.

WEEK 12:  Journal for Others and Wrap-up

Listen to God to encourage others.
