Names and Anticipations

Here are the current rankings:
TOP Boy names:
Jameson
William (but I’m hesitant bc I don’t like Bill, Billy, or Willy. I like Will alot, but “Will Hunt” could be the end of a sentence. Is that bad?)
Also:
David (Davey)
Joshua
Austin
Samuel
Daniel
Noah
Nathaniel (no one will bother to say such a long name, so it will be shortened. I love the name Nate, but Nate Hunt is too choppy.)
I like boy names that are Biblical but were popular among the British in in 1700s.

Girl names:
Marybeth (I want her name to be Marybeth/Maribeth- not Mary. I’m afraid if I name her Mary Beth, she’ll just become Mary Hunt and that sounds too simple. I think Mary Elizabeth is beautiful, but could we successfully enforce her being called Marybeth if I name her that? that’s the question.)

I could see you with a kid named Austin.
Anyhow -Are you getting excited? Can you imagine having a baby or a kid more? I can only imagine having a kid and playing, because I nannied and babysat and LOVED it. But I fear babies.

How’s the preggoness going? Have a bump yet?

I’m just used to toddlers and up too! I have zippo experience with infants! that’s why I start volunteering in the baby nursery this month- to gain experience. I hope it is as instinctual as I have heard it is. And no- I was watching a mom helping her little one learn to walk in a park the other day and I felt a wild mix of fear and excitement. I can only half imagine myself doing that. ha. I know I will and I know I will love it- I have always known that, but until now its been a mysterious experience in the distant future and now it is SO eminent!
Yes I am. I have grown out of all but two of my pants: overalls and elastic waste pants. So I went to a used baby stuff sale and bought 7 outfits for 40 bucks. Heck yes! Why would i need a new wardrobe for 6 months. no no no. Used! Plus, we’re shopping craigslist for baby furniture too.

  1. I call dibs on Elizabeth as a first name! šŸ˜› And Will Hunt would be too easy to make fun of in elementary school. You should name him Bertimus. You know Chris would like it.
